MEET BILL ANDERSON
Candidate For Swanton Township Trustee

Hello neighbors,
I’m Bill Anderson, and I’m proud to be running for Swanton Township Trustee. I’ve lived here with my family since 2016, and like many of you, I care deeply about the values that make our community strong: hard work, honest leadership, and looking out for one another.

For nine years, I served our country in the U.S. Air Force RED HORSE unit as a Civil Engineer, where I learned the meaning of service before self, discipline, and the importance of solving problems as a team. For the past 24 years, I’ve worked as a refinery mechanic, where safety, accountability, and efficiency are daily priorities.

But service doesn’t stop when the uniform comes off. I’ve stayed involved locally; leading my daughter’s Girl Scout troop for 8 years, chairing our local Girl Scout service unit, participating in Boy Scouts for over two decades, and serving three years as President and one year as Vice President of the AWPTA. I regularly attend township meetings to stay informed and engaged, because I believe residents deserve to know what’s happening in their local government.

My wife, daughter, and I love living in the Oak Openings region, where we share our home with horses, dogs, cats, chickens, and one very opinionated goat. We value the quiet, open spaces that make township life special, and I’m committed to protecting that way of life while planning responsibly for the future.

As your trustee, I’ll bring transparency where it’s been lacking, and fairness where favoritism has taken root. That means clear communication, equal treatment, and real accountability to the people who live here , not just a select few. I’m not here to play politics. I’m here to do the work , the real work — for every resident of Swanton Township.

On November 4, I’d be honored to earn your support.
Vote ABC: Anderson, Beil, and Curry for all three seats. Let’s bring trustworthy, forward-thinking leadership to Swanton Township.

MEET MATT BEIL
Candidate For Swanton Township Trustee

Friends & Neighbors:

I’m Matt Beil, and I’m proud to be running for Swanton Township Trustee. My family and I have lived here since 2015, and like you, I care about protecting the rural character of our township while making sure residents have a real voice in how it’s governed. For too long, township business hasn’t been clear or accessible. That needs to change — and that’s why I stepped forward.

I bring more than 23 years of experience as a senior project manager in environmental and engineering consulting. In that role, I’ve led projects from small community efforts to multi-million-dollar infrastructure initiatives, working with local and state officials to solve problems, manage resources responsibly, and deliver results. Those same skills; accountability, leadership, and practical problem-solving are what I’ll bring to serving our township.

But service doesn’t stop at the office. My wife and I are raising four children here — three daughters and a son — and we’re deeply invested in this community. Over the years, I’ve volunteered with schools, supported youth programs, and regularly attended township meetings to stay engaged and advocate for more transparency. At home in the Oak Openings region, our family tends to horses, donkeys, pigs, chickens, and the usual mix of cats and dogs. We’ve also restored wetland and upland habitat on our property to preserve it for future generations.

As your trustee, I’ll lead with accountability, transparency, and a commitment to fair representation. That means open communication, clear decision-making, and ensuring township resources serve everyone ... not just a few. I’m not running for a title; I’m running to do the work — the real work — for our community.

On November 4, I’d be honored to earn your support.
Vote ABC — Anderson, Beil, and Curry — for all three seats. Together, we can bring trustworthy, forward-looking leadership to Swanton Township.

MEET MINDY CURRY
Candidate for Swanton Township Fiscal Officer (Unexpired Term)
Hi neighbors,

I’m Mindy Curry, and I’m proud to be running for Swanton Township Fiscal Officer. I grew up in the Anthony Wayne community, graduated from Anthony Wayne High School, and have spent my entire life right here in this area.
Swanton Township has always been part of the place I call home, and I’m ready to put my skills to work for the people who live here.

I bring more than 32 years of accounting experience, including 26 years as an office manager at a respected local company. Over my career, I’ve learned that accuracy, efficiency, and clear communication aren’t just nice to have — they’re essential.
Those same principles will guide how I manage the township’s finances and keep residents informed about how every dollar is spent.

Public service is not new to me. I previously served eight years as a councilwoman, and throughout my life I’ve made community service a priority — from co-leading my daughter’s Girl Scout troop and helping with the Cherry Fest, to supporting the Anthony Wayne equestrian team, serving on community committees, fundraising for MS, and volunteering with No Kid Hungry. I also helped lead the effort to Save Our Soldier, preserving a monument that will always stand proudly at Whitehouse Park. These experiences reflect my belief in showing up, giving back, and lifting others with kindness and purpose.

Family and community are at the heart of everything I do. My partner, Darrin, and I share a blended family that includes grown children and grandchildren — who proudly call me “Mimi.” We love this region’s small-town values and are committed to seeing Swanton Township thrive.

As your Fiscal Officer, I’ll ensure that township finances are accurate, transparent, and accessible. That means timely responses to public records requests, responsible stewardship of tax dollars, and open communication with residents.
I believe you deserve a township t that treats you and our neighbors with respect and keeps you informed.

On November 4, I’d be honored to earn your support.
